These are series that I read when I was younger that I loved and helped hook me on reading. They are in no particular order as I have an awful time ranking books.

Number 1: Series of Unfortunate Events
This dark children's series was one of my favorites. They are filled with interesting characters and situations and filled with tons of new words to learn. I still use penultimate, and a few others because they are just fun to use.
Number 2: Harry Potter
A magical boarding school, a boy chosen by fate and a ton of interesting choices along the way. When I was younger I was a huge Harry Potter fangirl (Ravenclaw for life) and while I'm not a huge fan of the newer stuff the original books will always have a special place in my heart.
Number 3: Inkheart
A story about a girl who can read things into reality. This world was expertly crafted with a ton of beautiful imagery, of a world very similar but not quite like our own. I love how the fantasy elements intermingled so well into the real world settings and the progression of the series.
Number 4: Eragon
A series about a boy who finds a dragon egg and becomes a dragon rider. I got the first book on Easter when I was in 5th grade. My original copy had blue on the pages from eating a giant jawbreaker while reading. The final book came out when I was in my first year of college and I may have skipped a day of class to stay up all night to read the book on my kindle.
Number 5: Nancy Drew
A girl detective, her best friends, and her boyfriend solve all sorts of mysteries with a wide repertoire of skills. Nancy Drew was basically who I wanted to be as a child, amazing friends, amazing boyfriend, great relationship with her dad and could do basically anything.
Those are five of my favorite series from when I was younger. There were defiantly more but these one stick out as both some of my favorites and ones that I would read time and time again.
