This winter I've read about 65 books. I continued my obsession with Ascendance of a Bookworm, reading 17 more volumes and discovered some other pretty amazing books. I only had one pretty disappointing book this season so lets talk about them!

Favorites!

Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan

Inspired by the beloved legend of Chang’e, the Chinese moon goddess. A young woman’s quest to free her mother pits her against the most powerful immortal in the realm. It is an enchanting and romantic fantasy of immortals and magic, of loss and love.

The Tea Dragon Festival by K. O'Neil

An absolutely adorable graphic novel series about super cute dragons that grow tea leaves. It is also about accepting yourself and finding your way in the world. The entire series is just a warm cuddly hug.

Most Disappointing:

Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell

I went into this so hopeful but left it very unsatified.

Goals From the Fall

  • Make Progress in Case Closed- Fail I didn't read any Case Closed in the last couple of months

  • Finish or Catch up to five series- Caught up to- Moriarty and the Patriot, Ascendance of A Bookworm, Spy X Family, Wayward Children Series, Snow White with the Red Hair, and finished the Celestial Kingdom Duology and the Tea Dragon Series.

  • Read more Ascendance of a Bookworm. -I am as fully caught up as it is possible to be and am desperately looking forward to April 5th when the next volume will be available.

Goals for Winter

  • Keep Finishing Series- I've managed to get caught up with a few series but I'd like to get that number to a more manageable level.

  • Keep up with the Book Voyage book challenge- I started a reading around the world challenge for 2023 and so far I've read books set in the Artic and Western Europe up next is Africa
