Your Name Manga Vs. Movie

Mitsuha is from a tiny town in the mountains, helping with the shrine her family has taken care of for generation.

Taki is a high school boy who lives in Tokyo.

They start dreaming of each others lives and their world forever changes.

This is one of the rare cases where the movie actually come first so as far as the adaptation its a 10/10. (Granted the Light novel was published a month before the film's release). The manga followed the movie beat for beat. It is broken up into three volumes to make sure everything is included.

Where the movie really shines is the sound track. The entire sound track was done by the RADWIMPS. It is beautiful, I constantly listen to Sparkle and had it playing when I reached that portion of the manga.

I loved both versions of this that I have experienced. Honestly I'll end up obtaining the light novel at some point. The story is incredible and it is one that I would recommend in any format.
