Peter Pan

All children must grow up, that is except for one. Peter Pan lives in Neverland with his lost boys now for the first time he brings a girl to Neverland and nothing is ever quite the same.

I decided to pick this up because I've realized that I haven't read very many classics and given that this is a children's story it was a lot less intimidating as some of the others. That being said some of the language in the book is very dated and racist especially when it comes to Tiger Lilly's people. With that being said I did quite enjoy the story.

The writing style is whimsical and breaks the fourth wall often. It feels like the author is telling you the story personally. With little tidbits of whats to come being sprinkled in.

Peter is a lot more impish and bratty in his original form than in movie adaptations. He's also much more forgetful, constantly forgetting just what adventure he went on last.

I would defiantly recommend reading this story. It's clearly a classic for a reason. Personally I love that Wendy's daughter has the same name that was used in the second Peter Pan movie by Disney. It was a sweet tie-in that I didn't expect.
