Happiness is a risk. If you’re not a little scared, then you’re not doing it right.

Willa Jackson and Paxton Osgood grew up in sleepy little Walls of Water. Their grandmothers had been dear friends but that friendship didn't continue down the family line. When Paxton fixes up the Jackson's ancestral home the Blue Madam secrets are reveled and new friendships are formed.

This book was magical and charming. It is a sweet little slice of life with a touch of mystery.

All of the characters really come to life driving this story. Willa and Paxton are drastically different people but once they have their bonding moment they develop a friendship that will last forever.

I also like both of the love interests Sebastian the used to be outcast turned dentist, and Collin the uptight stick man in high school turned world exploring landscaper.

There is a little Easter egg of two characters from the authors Waverly series. It was such a nice little touch that I really enjoyed. I love when authors tie their stories together making an interconnected universe.

I highly recommend this or Waverly Family Series by Sarah Addison Allen if you want something light and darling with a kiss of magic.
