Being on the Great British Baking Show is stressful enough but add in murder and a little magic and things are bound to get interesting.
This is a delightful cozy mystery that leaves you wanting more. I really enjoyed the main character of Poppy. She is sweet, funny and can talk to ghosts what more could you really want? Entering the the Bake Show was twofold for her, do the best

she can in the competition and see if she can figure out her connection to Broomewode Hall (where the competition is held).
Poppy ends up getting wrapped up in the murder of one of her fellow contestants. Making her mission of finding out more about her past even more difficult.
A good amount of the contestants, such as Florence and Hamish get fleshed out quiet nicely. Hopefully the rest of the contestants get some of the spotlight in the coming books.
The Great Witches Baking Show started this series off beautifully and I'm looking forward to reading more.
