The Greywick triplets have always been told that they must stay away from the Celestial Academy for Fallen Stars. However on the night of the Unification festival their secret is revealed and they must go to the one place they were supposed to avoid.

I liked the magic system in this book with the catching and swallowing of stars. That each type of star gives a unique sort of magic and one of the types is forbidden and locked away.
I also appreciate that there is LGBTQ representation, one of the triplets is Bi, however they are pretty hyper-sexualized. It's one of the first things that we learn about this character. It is a hurtful and frankly unnecessary stereotype.
This may have technically been a new adult book, but it read like a middle grade. The voice didn't match what the authors were going for tone wise. It made the sex scenes feel weird and unnecessary. Also having the illustrations, while nice, made the book feel like it was geared towards a younger audience.
This isn't a series I am personally going to continue and I can't recommend.
