Someday, Lock Lamora, someday, you're going to fuck up so magnificently, so ambitiously, so overwhelming that the sky will light up and the moons will spin and the gods themselves will shit comets with glee.

The Gentlemen Bastards are group of boys who were brought together by Father Chains. He taught them how to steal from the rich and how to survive. Now they are on their own and they are in the midst of their biggest heist ever and it all starts going sideways.
This book was admittedly a little bit hard for me to start because it is full of flashbacks especially in the beginning. Once I got used to the style it was really enjoyable because the flashbacks directly relate to whats going on in the present.
Locke is such a cheeky little bastard and I love him. He's exceptionally clever and thinks that no one could possibly outsmart him that when they do.... its just a sight to behold and I couldn't get enough. The other Gentlemen Bastards Jean, Calo, Galdo, and Bug each have their specialties that make them invaluable to the team. Jean is the teams muscle, Calo and Galdo are tricksters that are excellent at being distractions and the newest member Bug is finding his role in the team. I love their family dynamic and what each and everyone of them bring to the story.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves intelligently written books and characters. I will be reading the second book in the series soon and I can't wait.
I heard that it takes some time getting used to the flashback in this book. Lies of Locke Lamora sounds a lot like Six of Crows.
