I Want to Eat Your Pancreas

An incredibly touching manga about a girl who is living as much as she can while dying.

In Native American tradition if you eat an organ from an animal that is healthy it will strengthen your weak one. Yamauchi Sakura is dying and she wants to eat your pancreas because hers is killing her.

She meets our male protagonist when she loses her diary and with it unwittingly shares her secret... she's dying. He becomes the one person outside of her family aware of exactly how sick she is. Drawing him out of his shell to bring him along on adventures and to show him life is worth living no matter how much time you have left.

This series is one that completely gripped me, I could not put it down. You have this character who isn't named until the very end, watching him interact and develop a relationship with Sakura draws you in. Seeing how incredibly different people they are, bound by a secret can create a lasting bond. One that is still felt after she is gone.

You will cry, it will pull at your heart strings and make you cry. This is a tale of friendship, love, and loss that you definitely do not want to miss.
